Since our founding in 1998 (Heisei 10), we have produced a wide range of footwear on an OEM basis at our in-house factory in Daisen, Akita — men's leather shoes, women's leather shoes (pumps and more), sneakers (other than vulcanised), and Gore-Tex shoes (Gore-certified factory). The full process — planning, design, cutting, stitching, and shaping (lasting through finishing) — is handled in-house, and CAD/CAM is used to accommodate relatively small orders. Knit-upper styles and vulcanised sneakers can also be produced via partner factories overseas.
At UEI, we set out to make shoes that are Unique (found nowhere else), Essential (genuinely needed), and Irreplaceable (impossible to substitute) — and to be of real use to our customers in doing so.
