Founded in 1985, Vinaseko has produced footwear for shoe makers and apparel brands with high craft and meticulous workmanship. Building on that experience, the company launched its own brand Perfetto in 2006. As the Italian name suggests, the designs evoke Italy — sharp silhouettes with an air of refinement, dress shoes that bring a touch of elegance to a wearer's feet. The line-up centres on versatile standards but is set apart by demanding artisan work — skin-stitching through 1 mm-thin leather, or reverso construction with the seam hidden. The leathers themselves are sourced directly from European tanneries famous around the world: Ilcea and Zonta of Italy, Annonay of France, Charles F. Stead of the UK — so the finished shoes hold their own against the premium leather shoes loved internationally.

Perfetto's commitment to its shoes runs much deeper. Italian dress shoes — the brand's reference point — are most often built using Blake (Mackay) or Bolognese construction; Perfetto, however, uses Goodyear welt, more associated with American and British makers. The reason: with Goodyear welt the insole and cork mould to the wearer's foot the more they are worn, and when the outsole wears down it can simply be replaced — letting the same pair stay with you for a long time, exactly the wish behind the choice. Most Goodyear-welted shoes have a heavy, rugged look, but Perfetto uses lasts engineered for comfort, giving the shoes an elegant silhouette unlike anything else. The finish is so accomplished it has drawn praise from visiting executives at long-established British shoemakers. Perfetto has, in fact, exhibited for about ten years at Pitti Immagine Uomo, the world-renowned menswear trade fair held twice a year in Italy. Overseas the brand goes by its Japanese rendering, 〈Kanpekina〉 — the literal translation of "perfetto" — and the line includes more eye-catching designs alongside Perfetto's classic dress shoes. 〈Kanpekina〉 is sold in France, where many fans own several pairs. By blending beautiful silhouettes with robust, comfortable construction at the highest level, Perfetto will go on telling the world the story of Japanese-made footwear.
Opening a shop that brings the wearer closer.
In July 2021, the company opened M'S SHOE FACTORY OUTLET in Matsudo, Chiba — a store selling Perfetto samples and second-quality items. Size availability is limited but prices sit below MSRP, so it has found a warm welcome from younger customers and those just discovering leather shoes. Outlet pricing changes nothing about the comfort, of course — these are still Perfetto shoes, and getting to feel that comfort first-hand is a great way into the brand. Until now Perfetto sold mainly through wholesale to retailers, but the new store brings brand and customer face-to-face, creating room for fresh discoveries and chemistry. Perfetto will keep responding to the moment with leather shoes that deliver ever-better comfort — a brand to keep watching.
